Orcon is owned by Vocus, which is owned by Macquarie Asset Management and Aware Super. On the 1st of January 2022, Orcon and 2degrees announced a planned merger. If the merger goes ahead, the new company would be the third-largest in New Zealand behind Spark and Vodafone.
