2 Degrees is a New Zealand telecommunications provider. Its mobile network launched on 4 August 2009 after nine years of planning and spending more than $250 million constructing a brand new mobile network in New Zealand. 2 Degrees offers prepaid and pay-monthly mobile services as well as fixed-line phone and broadband services.

Back in the 90s a visionary group of Maori challenged the crown through the Treaty of Waitangi and won the rights to 3G spectrum. Despite financial and regulatory adversity a Maori Trust (Hautaki) was established with the challenge of launching New Zealand’s 3rd mobile network.

Since then, they’ve been busy. They have the backing of a unique partnership of international and Kiwi investors that have enabled 2 degrees to build a brand new mobile network, helping 2 Degrees to cover 97% of the places Kiwis live and work. In March 2015 they also acquired NZ’s fourth largest ISP Snap.

Call Centre Hours

2 Degrees’ call centre is open seven days a week.

Monday to Sunday: 8am to 10pm

What is 2 Degrees customer service phone number?

How much does it cost to install Fibre?

Most cases a standard Fibre installation is free. Fibre installation is subsidised by the government as part of New Zealand’s Ultra-Fast Broadband programme. If your connection is classified as ‘non-standard’ install, there may be costs involved.

What is a fibre speed boost?

Fibre speed boost will upgrade the download and upload speeds of 2 Degrees’ customers 120GB and Unlimited fibre broadband plans to 300/100Mbs. There’s also no additional charges for fibre speed boost.

What are 2 Degrees IOU Packs?

If you’re running a little short on funds but need to keep using your 2 Degrees mobile, you can buy an IOU Pack to keep you going. Simply pay it back on your next Top Up. 2 Degrees has three types of IOU Packs available.

How to get IOU on 2 Degrees?

Simply text the word ‘buy’ with the IOU Pack that you need to 288. To get the $3 Talk & Text IOU Pack, text ‘buy 3Talk’ to 288. To get the $3 Data IOU Pack, text ‘buy 3Data’ to 288. To get the $5 Combo IOU Pack, text ‘buy 5Combo’ to 288.

How long does it take to install Orcon fibre?

Orcon residential house fibre installs are simple and quick. Apartments and houses down right of ways may take longer. Basic remote activation can happen in just a few working days. Whereas full installations with two visits from the install technician can take up to 25 days, from start to finish.
