What Internet is the fastest?
With speeds reaching up to 8000Mbps download and 8000Mbps upload, the fastest internet available to New Zealand residents is ultra fast fibre broadband (UFB). Take note though, speeds and plan availability will depend on where you live and if fibre is available at your residents.
How to test speed of Internet?
There is multiple tools on the internet that will test your internet speed. For New Zealanders’ we recommend using SpeedTest.net which uses local servers when testing your internet line speed. You can also use Chorus Speed Test to check your broadband speed.
Who is the cheapest Internet provider in NZ?
Many Internet providers provide the same product, with similar prices. The best way of choosing an internet provider would be to look at their customer reviews, flexibility of contract and the availability of internet plans in your area.
What is fibre broadband?
Fibre is a fixed-line broadband technology. It uses a series of fibre optic cables, which transfers data at the speed of light.
What is wireless broadband?
Wireless broadband connects your device to the nearest cell tower. It is the same mobile 3G, 4G or 5G network your smartphone uses.
